How To Pick Cherries

Cherry picking should be fun.

To keep your cherries fresh and our trees healthy you need to pick the cherries with their stalk or stem attached. The easiest way to do this is to follow these instructions.
DO NOT PICK OR REMOVE LEAVES, TWIGS OR BRANCHES.

1.    When you find a cherry you want to pick, locate the stem and run your fingers to the top where you will find a 'knot'

2.    Grasp the knot and either twist or gently push it sideways; the stem should come away from the 'spur' quite easily

3.    A correctly picked cherry should have the stem attached with a small 'knot' at the top of the stem

4.    Cherries may be singles or grow in bunches of two, three or four.  Each cherry in the bunch will have its own stem and the stems will be attached to the one knot

5.    Correctly picked cherries just waiting to be eaten

6.    Life is like a bowl of cherries
